Videointerview with Liepollo Lebohang Pheko: “Colonialism, Development Cooperation and the MDGs in Africa“

In this short interview, Liepollo Lebohang Pheko outlines the background of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)’ formation at the beginning of the 2000s and puts them in their colonial and neoliberal political context. She offers a trenchant critique of the MDGs from a feminist and anti-colonial perspective and shows how the post-2015 development agenda reproduces the shortcomings of the MDGs.n
