On Wednesday, 12 February 2014 at 19h00, the African Literatures & Cultures Chair (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) and AfricAvenir invite you to the Premiere of Ery Nzaramba’s Theater Play „The Split/Mixed – Portrait of an Artist in Rwanda“. In this play, the protagonist Eddy grows up in a safe, comfortable, middle-class environment in Rwanda. Though Eddy’s family runs into deepening financial difficulties, his parents manage to send him to the prestigious Belgian school of Kigali. He and his friends have a taste of fame when their band wins a music contest that inaugurates the launch of the new Rwandan Television. All changes when the president’s plane is shot down on 6th April 1994.nWritten & performed by Ery Nzaramba
