Interview with Kulthoum Omari: ’Gender and Renewable Energies in southern Africa’

Within the framework of the project ’Paradoxes of Sustainability’ AfricAvenir hosted a dialogue forum with the energy expert Kulthoum Omari on the topic ’Gender and Renewable Energies in southern Africa’. In the subsequent interview, Omari elaborates on access to decentralised technologies for energy extraction and reflects on the consequences of climate change for the provision of renewable energies in southern Africa focussing in particular on the living conditions of the women residing in these areas. nnThe project "Paradoxes of Sustainability" is financially supported by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and LEZ (Landesstelle für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit).
