World Premiere: Tim Hübschle’s “Making Of Dead River” & Selection of Short Films, Wednesday, 11 September 2013, 18h30, FNCC

In the framework of its bi-monthly screening series of Namibian films, AfricAvenir and the FNCC present an evening of Tim Huebschle short films on Wednesday, 11. September 2013, 18h30 including the World Premiere of "Making Of Dead River", at the FNCC, Robert Mugabe Ave, Windhoek, Entrance 20,- Nam$.

1.) Rider Without a Horse – 12 min – 2008
The colonial Rider monument awakens to life in the present-day independent Namibia.

2.) Looking for iilonga – 18 min – 2011
Hoping to work off his family’s debts, Simon travels to the big city. However, the city proves to be dangerous ground for a rural man.

3.) Making Of Dead River – 28 min – 2013  ++++ WORLD PREMIERE ++++
Haiko Boldt, the editor of the short film ‘Dead River’, accompanied the entire production process with his camera. Through interviews with the key cast & crew and a vast variety of on-set moments some mysteries of making this period film are unraveled.

4.) Dead River – 34 min – 2012
Set during Apartheid in Namibia, ‘Dead River’ follows the unlikely friendship of a farm worker’s son and the farmer’s daughter.
Film-Soundtrack composed and performed by Alessandro Alessandroni.

Filmmaker in attendance. After the screening a Q-and-A-session will be held.
