Interview with Jean-Claude Katende: Copper and Renewable Engergies – how is our solar electricity related to the copper mines in Congo?’

Within the framework of the project ’Paradoxes of Sustainability’ AfricAvenir hosted a dialogue forum with the lawyer and human rights activist Jean-Claude Katende on the topic ’Copper and Renewable Engergies – how is our solar electricity related to the copper mines in Congo?’ In the subsequent interview Katende talks about the significance of copper for the production of green technologies and the conditions for decomposition of the demanded resource in the Democratic Republic of Congo. nnThe project "Paradoxes of Sustainability" is financially supported by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and LEZ (Landesstelle für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit).
