Speaking at the conference ’Paradoxes of Sustainability’ (19.-20.10.2012), Tidiane Kassé, journalist and chief editor of the French edition of Pambazuka, deliberates on ‘The African Development Bank´s Strategies for Renewable Energies & Reactions from Civil Society in Senegal’. He criticises the energy politics of the African Development Bank and reports on the claim for a coalition derived from the African civil society, demanding more support for decentralized, sustainable energy supply projects accessible to local populations. nnThe project "Paradoxes of Sustainability" is financially supported by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and LEZ (Landesstelle für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit).
