Prince Kum’a Ndumbe III honored by Martin Luther King’s Family through the “A.D. King Foundation”

AfricAvenir International Foundation and its international sections have the great pleasure to announce that its Founder and President, the Prince Bele Bele Kum’a Ndumbe III, retired University Professor and throne successor to the legendary King of the Bele Bele in Cameroon Lock Priso Kum’a Mbape, was awarded for “Leadership in Social Empowerment” on Saturday 15 November 2014 in the Riverdale Centre, Atlanta-Georgia.  nThe award was handed to Prince Kum’a Ndumbe III in presence of Dr. Martin Luther King’s sister in law Mrs. Naomi Ruth Barber King, widow of the late Rev. A.D. Williams King and Chairwoman of the A.D. King Foundation. Prince Kum’a Ndumbe III has been honored during the “A.D. King Foundation Youth Empowerment Fundraiser Awards Gala” and received his award through the Hand of CEO and President Dr. Babs Onabanjo. The award ceremony was held after the Keynote speech by Congressman Hank Johnson who was introduced by awardee and human rights activist Mr. Joe Beasley, Founder & President of “People of Color Now”. The mayor of the Riverdale County as well as other high rank personalities also took part in the ceremony.n
 
The awardee, after opening his speech in Duala language and expressing his gratitude for the recognition, reminded it is time to reconnect the children of Africa living on the continent with those living in the United States into a powerful synergy to change the world. Africa is calling and the Prince said he is waiting for the African American diaspora in Cameroon as usual and particularly the younger generation emphasizing on the importance of Youth Empowerment.

The Cameroonian Government sponsored the flight to the United States through the official support of the Ministry of Arts and Culture and the Ministry of foreign affairs provided the diplomatic backing. Prince Kum’a Ndumbe III had already been honored with two awards in Atlanta in 2013. He was inducted into the Inaugural Hall Of Fame of Honorees by The World Tourism Awards and The A.D. King Foundation along with 99 celebrities from the world; he simultaneously received the personal award of 2013 Culture and Heritage scholar. This amounts to three international awards since 2013 for the founder and president of AfricAvenir International, for his “excellent leadership and continuous efforts at AfricAvenir by engaging in political education and information dissemination across Africa and around the world – which serves as a shining example that other countries can immolate”
