Speech by Prof. Judi W. Wakhungu: ‘Renewable Energies – Chances and risks from the African perspective’
As a prelude to the conference ’Paradoxes of Sustainability – how socially equitable are ‘green’ technologies really?’ (19.-20.10.2012) Prof. Judi W. Wakhungu, director of the African Centre for Technology Studies, held the opening speech on the current proliferation of renewable energies in Africa as well as the opportunities and risks these technologies provide for the continent.nnThe project "Paradoxes of Sustainability" is financially supported by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and LEZ (Landesstelle für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit).
