Anlässlich des Internationalen Tages zur Erinnerung an den Versklavungshandel und an seine Abschaffung (23. August) fordern wir – nun schon zum sechsten Mal – die noch immer ausstehende Umbenennung der kolonialrassistischen M*straße in Berlin.nnDer Gedenktag und unsere Feier beziehen sich auf den Jahrestag der Schwarzen Revolution von Haiti am 23. August 1791. Wir wollen Euch u.a. den ersten Schwarzen Akademiker in Deutschland und Preußen, ANTON WILHELM AMO (geb. 1703 in Ghana, lehrte u.a. an der Uni Halle) vorstellen, den wir als neuen Namensgeber der Straße vorschlagen.nnSeid dabei, bringt Freund*innen, Familie und die Sonne mit: es gibt tolle Musik und Poetry!nnProgramm und Sprecher*innen folgen.nn+++ENGLISH+++nnOn the occasion of the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition (23 August) we demand – now for the sixth time – the still pending renaming of the colonial racist M*straße in Berlin.nnThe commemoration day and our celebration refer to the anniversary of the Black Revolution of Haiti on August 23, 1791. We would like to introduce to you the first African born academic in Germany and Prussia, ANTON WILHELM AMO (born 1703 in Ghana, teaching at the University of Halle, Jena and Wittenberg), whom we propose as the new name giver of the street.nnprogramm and speakers: tba
