Being one of the most well-known critics of the concept of ‘development aid’, Yash Tandon unmasks the contradictions and hidden western ideologies behind the concept. He outlines how development aid is being used as an instrument of war on Africa in the context of a global (neo-)liberal trade framework.nnThis lecture by the Ugandan policymaker, political artist and scholar Yash Tandon was held in September 2015 at a dialogue forum organised by AfricAvenir as part of the project “African Perspectives on Global Challenges”.nIn cooperation with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and with the friendly support of the Landesstelle für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit and Engagement Global.
