Poetry Performance: Mphutlane Wa Bofelo (RSA) und Napo Masheane (RSA), Sa 19.06.2010 | 18:00 h | Eintritt frei
Am Samstag, 19. Juni um 18 Uhr laden wir zu einer außergewöhnlichen Poetry-Performance ins Haus der Kulturen: Der Autor, Aktivist und Performance-Poet Mphutlane Wa Bofelo gewann 2003 den Slam Poetry Wettbewerb und 2005 den Slamjam in Durban. Zudem ist er Mitbegründer des Anti-Racism Education Forum. Die in Soweto geborene Schriftstellerin, Poetin und Produzentin Napo Masheane ist Teil des Spoken Word-Kollektivs "Feela Sista!".
Sie engagiert sich im "Kalaneng Arts Track", einer Theaterorganisation für junge Schauspieler, und ist Mitherausgeberin des "Colour of the Diaspora". Titel wie „The Fat Black Women Sing“ verraten den provokativen, humoristischen Stil ihrer Werke.nSa, 19.6.2010, 18h

The author, activist and performance poet Mphutlane Wa Bofelo won the 2003 Slam Poetry Competition and the 2005 SlamJam in Durban. He is also co-founder of the Anti-Racism Education Forum. The Soweto-born novelist, poet and producer Napo Masheane is a member of the Spoken Word collective "Feela Sista!".
She is involved in the "Kalaneng Arts Track", an organization for young actors, and is co-editor of "Colour of the Diaspora." Titles such as "The Fat Black Women Sing" betray the provocative, humorous style of her works.
